The Thread Collective Breaks for the Holidays

Thread Collective Will Not Meet in December and Returns in January with a New Schedule in Mind.

The Thread Collective has been part of the library programming since last winter, but after a promising first meeting, attendance has been lagging and the last few events just didn’t happen. November’s Thread Collective was unable to be held due to the Veteran’s Day closure of the library landing on the same day as the regular meeting. It’s been discouraging and disappointing for the organizers, which is sad to see because they were really excited about it.

But do stitchers quit just because they’re frustrated?
Oh, yeah. All the time. It’s part of the process.
But then they come back, review their pattern, and keep on trying!

So get your request in to Santa for your new knitting and crocheting gear, plot your next cross-stitch sampler, be a good boy or girl (for as long as you can), then come back on Thursday, January 8, 6:00 PM to join us for the kick off of the Thread Collective Reboot!

For more information, call the library at 785-336-2377 or stop by the circulation desk! Have ideas or requests on how this program might better serve you or someone you know who might be interested? Let us know!

Thread Collective is a social /educational program designed with the purpose of bringing together community members who enjoy similar craft modalities. We encourage crocheters, knitters, cross-stitchers, embroiderers, and similar thread craft creators to join us and share tips, tricks, pointers, and patterns.
