June Quilt Class Set

The June quilt class will be a T-Shirt quilt! This is a Beginner – Intermediate level class. So, gather up those special t-shirts and make a keepsake quilt that will be treasured for years.

What: Beginner to Intermediate level quilt class using T-shirts you’ve been collecting and don’t want to throw away.

When: Thursday June 27 6:00~9:oo PM and continues on Saturday June 29 from 10:00 AM~4:00 PM

Seneca Museum Day Set

The second annual Seneca Museum Day is set for Saturday June 8. This event allows for all of Seneca’s museums to be open with FREE admission from 10 AM ~ 3 PM. The list includes the Nemaha County Historical Society, the Pony Express Museum, the Seneca Fire Department, and Seneca Free Library. The Library will have volunteers available to show the public how to use the genealogy room and the equipment in it!  Other hosts for this event are the Seneca Area Chamber & Downtown Impact and Seneca Travel and Tourism.

Biblio Chair Delivered to the Library.

Rebecca Haverkamp made this chair for her high school senior project. She presented the idea to us last fall and we were really excited about it! Congratulations and thank you, Rebecca for giving the library a truly great gift.

March STEM Class

A small group gathered to play with a microscope; looking at fibers, the uniqueness of each person was discovered as well as how human hair fibers differ from dog, cat and synthetic fibers. Discussions on the use in solving crimes thru fiber identification were enlightening.

ARC Wild Returns to SFL

Who’s Eating Who? That is the question of the day when ARC Wild returns to Seneca Free Library Thursday, April 25. This program will be presented twice, at 3:30 and 5:30 PM.

Do you know where you belong in nature’s food WEB? Every meal you eat connects you to several food chains and makes you part of nature’s food web. Get hands on with some of nature’s super heroes and discover who’s eating whom. It’s a special investigative class you don’t want to miss!
