Nemaha County Christmas Bureau Collection Box is Out at the Library

The Nemaha County Christmas Bureau volunteers have been busy taking applications for families in need this holiday season. Now it is up to us to help meet the needs of those families. Members of the Seneca United Methodist Church suggest practical items like stocking hats & gloves, scarves, towels, blankets, socks, small kitchen appliances, really anything that is a “need” rather than a “want”. They also need toys for ages 0-10, for both boys and girls. Volunteers make toiletry kits for each family, so shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, body lotion, body wash, hand soap and such are needed for that project. If you prefer, monetary donations are welcome to help pay for the kids’ shoes & hoodies and to fill in where donations are lacking. Checks should be made out to Nemaha County Christmas Bureau. We will collect items and monetary donations here at the library. We will keep them all safe and get them to the church by the December 7 deadline. With Main street construction still going on, the easiest way to donate might be to look for donation boxes around town.
