DIG INTO…ICE CREAM!!

Seneca Free Library celebrated the end of summer reading Tuesday August 6 with an ice cream party.  Out of 262 children signed up for summer reading, we had 90 children bring in their completed reading logs. They received a certificate recognizing their accomplishment and an invitation to the party. There were 60 children and their parents who came to the party to enjoy a cold treat and all the toppings they could fit into the cup. Here are some of the pictures we took of the event, check out our album on Facebook too!

Each child who attended our party got an ice cream bowl to take home. Here is Pepper with one of the left over bowls.

First stop in the door was to give your invitation to Miss Dee and put your name in the drawing for the P is for Prairie Dog book. The winner of the book is Bryce Weber. He is one of our 1000 Books Before Kindergarten readers, so we know he will be happy to add this book to his collection.
